Call for papers and presentations
Research can help influence policy and practice and ensure a better education and training system for all people living in Australia.
NCVER invites practitioners and researchers to share their research and knowledge at the 21st National Vocational Education and Training Research Conference.
NCVER seeks presentations that rely on sound evidence-based research rather than descriptive or opinion-based work.
This can be presented in one of the following ways:
Professional development workshops
Pre-conference workshops will run concurrently on Wednesday 11 July.
The workshops should be interactive and engaging and consist of topics that focus on professional development for researchers and VET practitioners.
We invite proposals for a 60 or 90 minute workshop. Submissions must outline the objective, scope and format of the workshop and be written concisely.
If you would like to run an online workshop, computer labs are available.
Presentations
We are looking for informative, relevant and thought-provoking presentations on research in progress, as well as completed work. We encourage formats that engage the audience.
As part of NCVER’s commitment to building research capacity in the VET sector, we strongly encourage early career VET researchers or established researchers new to the VET sector to present.
Please see below for abstract guidelines.
Refereed papers
For the first time, we are offering refereed papers to be part of the program in addition to standard presentations.
Following submission of your abstract, successful applicants will be required to submit a paper for peer-review by two independent referees and may have your paper considered for publishing.
Abstract guidelines
Please follow these guidelines when submitting a proposal for a PD workshop or an abstract for a standard presentation or refereed paper:
Abstracts that do not follow the above guidelines will not be considered.
Limited presentation sessions available.
